Lamesa Resident
LAMESA, Jan. 4 (Special) -- Funeral services will be held here at 3 p.m. Monday for Guthrie Allen Sr., 75, who died at his home about 7:30 a.m.
Allen, a resident of Lamesa for 28 years, was a retired abstractor, having quit active practice several years ago due to ill health. He formerly lived at Andrews.
Funeral services will be held in the Lamesa First Methodist Church with Rev. Jordan Grooms, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lamesa Memorial Park under direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home.
Allen is survived by his wife; a son, Guthrie Jr. of Pampa; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Fontonot of Baton Rouge, La., and Mrs. Walter T. McKee Jr. of Fort Worth; and a brother, John W. Allen of Oak Dale, La.
