He was the son of the late Vade and Ella Leona (Matthews) Dunn.
Living most of his life in Mississippi, he had lived in Indianapolis the last 7 years before his death.
He was the widow of Vera Lee Rushing Dunn, mother of his twelve children. She preceded him in death on October 10, 1959 , as did two of his children. A son, Billie died at birth and another son, Charlie was killed as young boy when he fell from a hay wagon.
He is survived by ten of his children; James William, JD Wayne, Bobby Ray, Willie, Norris, Neil, John and Steve Dunn; Mrs. Leland Moore and Mrs. Helen Jean Burtrum and several grandchildren.
He later married Ethie Ellen Dunn, who also survives.
Service was Wednesday, July 22nd at the Flanner and Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary in Indianapolis.
