Alice married Charles Rauworth on March 8, 1893 at Goodland, Indiana.

August 18, 1947 - Carroll Times Herald - Mrs. C.E. Rauworth, 82, succumbed to a heart attack at St. Anthony hospital about 7:30 this morning. Mrs. Rauworth, who entered the hospital recently for a check-up, suffered a fractured hip in a fall there Friday night, August 8. The body is at the Huffman Funeral home, awaiting completion of arrangements.

Mrs. Rauworth was the widow of a well-known Carroll county farmer. For many years the couple lived on their farm south of Glidden. After her husband's death in an automobile accident about 10 years ago, Mrs. Rauworth moved into the town of Glidden. Later, she came to Carroll, having resided at the Tryon Nursing home here on North Carroll street nearly six years.

A native of Indiana, her maiden name was Alice Stevens. She belonged to the Methodist church in Glidden and Signet Chapter No. 1, Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Foy of Davenport, who is expected to arrive here Tuesday night, and Mrs. Flora McIntosh of San Diego, Calif., and a nephew, Lloyd Seymour, Route 2, Guthrie Center, whom Mrs. Rauworth reared. Mary Jane Satterfield of Oakland, Calif., is coming for the rites, expecting to arrive here Wednesday.
