Suggested edit: Eada Ahrens was born 1841 at Strassburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommem, Germany to Jochim Heinrich Ahrens and Maria Margarite Meyer Ahrens. She emigrated with her parents in 1853 to Davenport, Iowa. In 1855, the family moved northwest to settle on a farm at Pittsford Township, Butler County, Iowa.
Eada married Adrian Gillet before 1866. The couple had five children. She died September 1, 1874 in Butler County, probably from complications of childbirth. She is buried at Harlan Cemetery, Pittsford, Butler, Iowa.
