George grew up in Wyandotte Co, KS. attending Wyandotte High School. He was the son of Francis “Frank” I. Myers(1876-1952) and Lola “Pearl” (Abel) Myers(1892-1952). He had one sister, Martha A (Myers) Scholtz(1919-2003), FAG#95649314. George’s family owned and operated Myers’ Brush, Broom and Seeds til 1986 in the Kansas City area. He and Minnie Ola Billingsley married in 1943 but had no children.
