Sophie Fisher, 93, Davenport, died Friday, June 6, 1997, at the Bettendorf Health Care Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the church, where she was a longtime member, or to the Crisis Pregnancy Center of the Quad Cities.
Sophie was born August 10, 1903, in Roanoke, the daughter of Jacob and Sophia Uden Manninga. She married Roy W. Fisher Oct. 8, 1924, in Charles City, Iowa. He died May 30, 1950.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Heaton, Le Claire, Iowa, and Carol Briggs, Eldridge; sons, Virgil Fisher, Waterloo, Iowa, and Lester Fisher, Fayetteville, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
