Mrs. Alice Gooden Clark, 91, of 58 North East street, Waynesburg, widow of Jesse L. Clark, died at 2:40 P. M. Sunday, November 1, 1964, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for some time and seriously ill for two weeks.
Mrs. Clark, a daughter of Hiram and Hannah Margaret Rose Gooden, was born October 26, 1873. She and her husband resided on a farm at Oak Forest for 60 years. She moved to Waynesburg following his death October 7, 1959.
Mrs. Gooden had been a member of the Pursley Baptist Church for some 60 years and both she and her husband had been active in affairs of the church.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph W. and Shirl H. Clark, both of Waynesburg; one daughter, Mrs. Norma Calloway, of South Boston, Va.; three grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Ida C. Kiger, of Waynesburg, R. D. 4.
