Actor, he was best known as the straight man in Jack Pearl's "Baron Munchausen" radio series in the 1930s. He had only one eye, after losing the sight in his right one when attacked by a Canadian soldier on leave in 1942. He appeared on televisions shows throughout the 1950s and 60s. He played the 'Raccoon Lodge President' on "The Honeymooners"(1956). On Broadway, he appeared in "Ziegfeld Follies of 1931", "Pardon My English" (1933), "Here's Love" (1964) and "Sherry!" (1967).


Hall was in the Navy in World War I, and an entertainer for troops during World War II.
