EWING TOWNSHIP - Carolyn Kranie Kohn Goodman Kounitz, 93, passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011. Born in Trenton on Feb. 25, 1918, Mrs. Kounitz was a graduate of the University of Michigan and in a 40-year career, she taught students in elementary through high school in West Windsor, Trenton and Stafford Township, NJ. She was the beloved wife of the late Abraham Goodman and Jerome Kounitz; devoted mother of Michael (Barbara) Goodman, Martin, Josh (Rina), Jan (Debbie) and Lance (Carol) Kounitz; cherished grandmother of David and Ellen Goodman, Ben, Jake and Yinon Kounitz, and loving great-grandmother of Andrew Goodman. Your courage, intelligence and spirit live on through us all: carpe diem. Funeral services are Monday at 11 a.m. at Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing Township. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
