Sandy, UT-Ann Elizabeth Goodwin, 99, completed her life's journey June 9, 2013. She was born October 26, 1913 in Portland, Maine to James and Pauline Emborg. Due to the death of her parents, she was adopted at age 5 by George and Amanda Gunn. She spent her early years in Evanston, WY and graduated from Evanston High School in 1933.
Ann married Woodrow W. Goodwin (Woody) September 23, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they loved, cared for and successfully raised their two daughters, Jeannette & Paula. Her faithful example was, and continues to be, a blessing to all of her family.
Ann was a homemaker. Her home was a peaceful and welcome place. She was a member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in various church calling throughout her life, but her favorite church assignment was being a Visiting Teacher.
She loved crocheting, knitting, ceramics and gardening. She was also a member of the UCB and Club Vision for many years. This brought her great joy and she established life-long friendships.
She is survived by her daughter Paula (Jim) Roberts of Sandy, 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Woody, daughter Jeannette (Dean) Dumas, parents and 8 brothers.
The family wishes to thank Affinity Home Health Care & Hospice for their tender loving care, especially Rosemary, Barbara & Elizabeth.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr. where friends may call Wednesday, 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Thursday one hour prior to services.
Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
