"Roy S. Commons; his wife, the former Marion Singer and their daughter, Bertha Louise, all of 1150 Johnson Street, Nanty Glo, died July 10, 1981, during a fire at their home.
Mr. Commons, a son of the late George S. and Bertha (Mothersbough) Commons, was born Dec. 1, 1921 in Nanty Glo; Mrs. Commons was born in Nanty Glo on Aug. 29, 1931, the daughter of Fred L. and Sara E. (Collins) Singer and their daughter, Bertha, was born Nov. 3, 1981, in Johnstown.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Commons was preceded in death by two sisters, Elva Howard and Nora James. Mrs. Commons was preceded in death by her parents.
The couple is survived by a son, Fred, at home. Mr. Commons also is survived by a brother, George, and sister, Rene Griest, both of Nanty Glo and Mrs Commons is also survived by a sister, Vivian Taylor of Norristown.
Private memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Harry R. Ondriezek II Funeral Home in Nanty Glo with the Rev. Robert Hoover officiating. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery."
