Mary is my biological mother. She was the fourth child born alive to GEORGE BAXTER McMAHAN and BESSIE ESTELLE MOORE McMAHAN. According to Mary's Florida Birth Certificate, she wasn't named officially until November 3, 1938, it was also amended again on August 15, 1958.
When Mary was pregnant with me she stayed with James Thomas & Patsy Hardy in Fort Lauderdale, FL. My adopted father worked with Jim Hardy at FPL and they remained friends for many years.
She met David Ronald "Ronnie" KEITH, Sr. Abt. August 1955 in Florida. They are my biological parents.
She 1st married Robert E. "Bob" REARDON 07 Nov 1959 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. They divorced 05 October 1977 in Hartford County, Connecticut. No children.

She 3rd married Sherrill Andrew PREACHER 16 March 1974 in Woodbine, Camden County, Georgia. They divorced 21 Mar 1978 in Nassau Co, Florida. No children.
She 4th married Joseph "Joe" SWANGER 27 April 1978 in Pittsfield Twnsp, Washtenaw County, Michigan. They separated. No children.
Mary's life was cut short by a tragic auto accident. She was hit head on by another driver that swerved into her lane late at night on State Road 5, 1 mile north of Yulee, FL. She was en route to her home in Fernandina after spending the evening visiting with family. She had her 10-year-old twin boys (my half-brothers) in the back seat and they mercifully escaped injury. Our Aunt Nina, Mrs. Vernon Lee, raised the boys as her own.
Mary is buried near other family at Bosque Bello. Standing at her grave one can see Container Corporation. It's a lonely and tranquil spot. I pray she has finally found the rest that she was so desperately seeking.
