Olive Rowe Walters, who was born in Illinois, was the daughter of Henry Rowe and Jane Armstrong.
Charles Walters, who was born in Minnesota ca 1872, and Olive Rowe were married in Washington County, Nebraska on August 27, 1895 (Deed Book 5, Page 266)
It seems that very shortly after their marriage, Charles and Olive relocated to New Mexico because their son, Leslie, was born there in July 1896 (US Census, 1900, Household of Wm Rowe).
In 1900, Olive Walters resurfaces in Nebraska and was living with her son, Leslie, in household of her brother, William (Wm) Rowe. William and his wife, Alice, were residing in De Soto Township, Washington, Nebraska, and had no children of their own as of yet. Olive's husband, Charles, was apparently not living with them at this time.

On this census, Leslie Walters was listed as the nephew of Jess Wheeler. Jess Wheeler, the son of Thomas Wheeler and Mary Grant, married Olive's sister, Maggie on 13 November 1879 in Gibson City, Ford, Illinois.
