He was born November 20, 1929 in Manistique, the son of James L. and Jessie E. (Johnson) Neeson and attended Manistique area schools.
During the Korean War, Glenn served in the U.S. Army in Korea and was discharged as a Corporal.
On October 2, 1951 he married the former Carol M. McCarney at the Methodist Church in Engadine, MI and they made their home and raised their family in Manistique.
Glenn was employed as a paper loader and wrapper at Manistique Papers, Inc. for 43 years. He retired in 1993.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Manistique where he served on the church council and sang in the choir. He was also a life-member of the Schoolcraft V.F.W. Post #4420 of Manistique. He enjoyed traveling, swimming and watching sports on TV. He especially enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and baseball.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Carol M. Neeson of Manistique; sons, Kendall (Linda) Neeson of Detroit, Jeffrey (Sherri) Neeson of Manistique and Bardo (Beth) Neeson of Rochester Hills; daughter, Nancy Neeson of Coos Bay, OR; sisters, Jeanette Meraw of Royal Oak, Laura Johns of Traverse City and Margaret (Cecil) Taylor of Manistique; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Maher.
A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.
