~MY PECK FAMILY~
Thaddeus was the oldest son of my ancestors, Corp. Josiah & Helen (Birdseye) Peck and grandson of Nathan & Tabatha (Beers) Peck and Rev. Nathan & Dorothy (Hawley) Birdseye (buried in Old Cong. Burying Ground in Stratford). Thaddeus was the brother of my ancestor, BIRDSEY PECK.
He was a cloth-maker and a merchant of goods that he brought from the West Indies. He deeded the city of Stratford the land for the Union Cemetery. He married
(1) Hannah Jewett on 29 Oct 1800 and they were the parents of seven children:
