STALEY, Carlton Lee "Carl"
Born May 7, 1921 in Minneapolis, MN to Gwendolyn and Carlton Staley. He passed away February 10, 2009 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Carl grew up in North Dakota before moving to Portland, Oregon where he was raised and completed his education. He joined the Navy, serving his country for three years, as a Navy pilot in WWII. During that time he met Helen Langstaff and they married October 6, 1946 and raised two daughters, Gwendolyn and Pamela.
Carl enjoyed traveling to warm climates where he loved to snorkel and play golf. The last few years gardening took up most of his time in the summer and all of his neighbors benefited from his harvest.
He is survived by his wife Helen; daughters Gwen and (Rick) Combs, Pam and (Charley) Bartlett; granddaughters Annaka and (Brian) Smith,Brittany and (Austin) Schmidt, and ChelseaBartlett.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care Carl received from all who cared for him at Ivy Court. No services will be held.
