David Dean Vandervort, age 54, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Gundersen Health System, La Crosse, WI. He was born November 15, 1958, in Tomah, WI, to Verlyn and Vernageane "Vernie" (Winchel) Vandervort. On July 29, 1995, David was united in marriage to Cindy Rosenow.

Dave was a 1976 graduate of Tomah High School. He remained close with his fellow classmates throughout his life. Following high school, he attended WWTC in La Crosse for Auto Body. As a young man he was active in Rodeo and helped his parents with Clydesdales and other horses. He also enjoyed four wheel truck climbing and mudding with his high school friends. Dave was employed at Toro for 30 years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, camping, four wheeling, cutting wood, fishing, golfing, plowing snow and farming. He liked to travel and enjoyed his trips to Canada, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and San Francisco; CA. Dave was an AC/DC fan. He loved playing Euchre with his family and card club. Dave was fun loving, charismatic and was known to do fun things with his kids and grandchildren. More than anything, he loved his family and grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his wife, Cindy of Tomah, WI, his children, Tiffany (Eric) Hall of Tomah, WI, Trent (Ashley) Vandervort of Tomah, WI, Jamie (Ryan) Olson of Camp Douglas, WI, Rhonda (Viet) Van Dong of Chippewa Falls, WI and Mandy (Brad) Musta of Montrose, MN, grandchildren, Mallory, Karli and Klara, his mother, Vernie Vandervort of Tomah, WI, his brother, Dale (Missy) Vandervort of Tomah, WI and his sister, Dilynn (Gary) Middleton of Tomah, WI, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Verlyn Vandervort.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 15, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Monsignor Richard Gilles officiated. Burial was follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Tomah, Wisconsin. Family and friends were invited for visitation Friday, June 14, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Family and friends were also invited for visitation Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
