HENDERSON -- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Hazel Amy Guidry, 81, who died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson.
Mrs. Guidry's love was working at Amy's Grocery & Fishery from the age of 16 until her retirement at 70 years of age.
Survivors include her son, Fernest Guidry, of Henderson; her grandson, Jerrett Guidry; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Guidry; her parents, Aspasie L. and Telesphor Amy Sr.; her brothers, Joe, Telesphor Jr., Percy, Paul and Wesley Amy; and two sisters, Lota Amy Guidry and Lula Amy.
The family requested that visitation be observed from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8 a.m. today until time of service.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Louis Huval, Wayne Amy, Sammy Irwin, Kevin Courville, Craig Huval and Carl Guidry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Huval and Casey Courville.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
