ODESSA Felipe Contreras Pallan, age 76, of Odessa, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Hospice House. He was born in Balmorhea, TX on August 23, 1936 to the late Leonor and Angelita (Contreras) Pallan. Felipe married Susana Falcon in Saragosa in September of 1963, this year would have been their 50th anniversary. He was a farmer and a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Susana Pallan of Odessa; two sons: Robert Payan and wife Debbie of Cleburne and Manuel Payan and wife Michelle of Odessa; six daughters: Delia Chavez and husband Sammy Green, Teresa Hernandez, Yolanda Rayos, Diana Payan and husband Adam Valdez, Crissy Pallan and husband Auden Hernandez, and Priscilla Olivas and husband Albert, all of Odessa; brothers: Tito Pallan of Midland, Pete Pallan of Caramillo, CA, Arturo Pallan of Pecos, and Sammy Payan of Crane
; sisters: Damas Garcia of Westmoreland, CA and Susie Stringer of Dallas;
twenty-six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Angelita Pallan; father: Leonor Pallan;
the mother who raised him: Toribia Bustamante;
son: Felipe Pallan Jr.; brother: Lupe Pallan; grandson: Andrew Rodriguez; and two sons-in-law: Greg Rayos, Jr. and Ruben Chavez.
