Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Tim Searby officiating.
Burial will be in Lawndale Cemetery.
Mrs. Parsons worked at the Lincoln bottle factory, as a waitress at Busy Bee Restaurant, as a bartender and for 12 years as a prep cook at Al's Main Event.
She was born Sept. 25, 1933, at Pleasant Plains to Levi Madison and Tena Marion Clemons. She married Danny Parsons in Lincoln on Feb. 22, 1980.
She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; one daughter, Sheryl (and William) Carson of Lincoln; four sons, Raymond (and Cherie) Merritt of Lawndale, Donald (and Kay) Merritt of Lincoln, Sam (and Lori) Merritt of Pekin and Jason (and Erin) Merritt of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John Clemons of Springfield and Gene (and Sharon) Clemons of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and five sisters.
She was of the Christian faith.
She graduated from Pleasant Plains High School in 1951
Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Association or American Heart Association.
