Jason Andrew Law was born to Richard Andrew Law and Sarah Jane Holden December 15th 1856 in Van Wert County Ohio. He was raised in a Christian home and taught to work hard.
He married Mary Back 2 Feb 1882 in Bryan,Williams County,Ohio. They had three children,Grace Estella Law b 14 May 1883 in West Bridgewater,Ohio; Robert Andrew Law b 15 Apr 1885 in Woodbridge,Hillsdale Co,Michigan and William Jay Law b 3 Aug 1886 in Woodbridge. Jason and Mary later divorced.
He married Edna Celestia Hulbert the 7th September 1889 and they had six children. He was a hard worker, farmer and tile factory owner. While clearing tree stumps from his land he was accidently killed when setting the charge of dynamite. His wife, Edna, never remarried and raised the children. She died in 1949 in Ventura, California.

Jason A. Law was born in Van Wert Co., Ohio, Dec. 15, 1856 and departed this life, August 5, 1911, aged 54 years, 7 months and 20 days.
His demise was caused by an accidental explosion of dynamite while preparing to blast a stump. He lived about two hours after being injured.
He was united in marriage to Mary E. Back, Feb. 2, 1882, to this union were born three children, namely: Grace E., Robert E. and William J.
On Sept. 7, 1889 he was united in marriage to Edna C. Hulbert, to this union were born six children, namely: Orpha E., Opal E., Richard C., Jason N., Dewey D. and Trusty T. (note by Eleanor Law Johnson: Trusty T.(went by Ted or Theodore T. Law).
He united with the U.B. church when 19 years of age.
He joined the I.O.O.F. lodge at Camden, Mich., in the year 1885. Later instituting the lodge at Mark Center, Ohio, and at the time of his death was a member of the Lodge at Oakwood, Ohio, also the Camp at Defiance.
A short time before his death he expressed his belief in the life beyond and that he had no fear of death.
He was a loving husband and father, a dutiful son and a kind neighbor.
He leaves to mourn his death a wife, six sons and three daughters, a mother, a sister and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held at Edgerton, Ohio, under the auspices of the I.O.O.F. Lodge. Interment being in the Fountain Grove Cemetery at that place.(Note: The cemetery name is now Maple Grove Cemetery).
