Bishop Junius F. Ogden conducted the services. Speakers were Patriach H.J. Hansen and A.G. Young, life long friends of Mr. Jensen. Musical numbers were a vocal duet, "Far Away", and by Mrs. Wm. Gardner and Mrs. David Hansen; a selection, "Bury Me Near the Old Home", by a quartete composed of Thomas Ransome, Eli and Walter O. Lundgreen and Lucian Winget of Monroe, accompanied by Mrs. Miltan A. Magelby; and two selections, "My Jesus as Thou Wilt" and "Rock Of Ages", by a quartet composed of by Mrs. Vern Blomquist, Mrs. Wm. Gardner, Donald Hansen, and H.W. Ward, accompanied by Mrs. David Hansen. The invocation was by Enoch R. Larsen; the benediction by Joseph Ogden. John Ence dedicated the grave, interment being in the City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews of Mr. Jensen. The many beautiful floral tributes were carried by Relief Society members.
Mr. Jensen was born at Parowan, June 3, 1873, a son of Lars Peter and Mattie Katherine Jensen. At the age of eleven years he moved with his parents to Richfield and made his home here until the last ten years, most of which time he spent at Ely. His wife, Mary Peterson Jensen, died July 16, 1905, three years after their marriage, and was buried in the Richfield Cemetery. Surviving are three sisters and four brother, Mrs. Anna Baker, John, Harvey and Alfred Jensen of Richfield, Mrs. E.C. Wright of Salina, Mrs. Nephi Hermansen and Orson Jensen of Ely, Nevada. All of the brothers and sisters and members of their families were in attendance at the service.
