CHERRY PLAIN, N.Y. February 22, 2000- Clayton Leonard Goodermote, 66, of Route 22 died Sunday, at home. He was born in Berlin on February 12, 1934, son of Marion Gardner Goodermote and the late Alden Goodermote (b. 4/15/1910), and attended schools there. Mr. Goodermote worked on his family's farm in Cherry Plain before taking over ownership 20 years ago. He also worked for GE in Pittsfield, Mass., for 10 years. Konisky Well Drilling of Berlin, NYS EnCon at Cherry Plain State Park and W.J. Cowee, Inc. He attended First Baptist Church in Berlin. His wife, the former Carol Sue Lincoln (b. 1938), whom he married Nov. 10, 1956 in Berlin, died July 7, 1989. Besides his mother, of Cherry Plain, he leaves a daughter, Kathleen A. Sedgwick of New Lebanon; a son, Randall C. of Hinsdale, N.H.; three sisters, Marie Shilling of Clifton Park and Joan MacVeigh and Virginia Staples, both of Stephentown; two brothers David and Alden W., Jr. both of Cherry Plain and two grandchildren.
