SUSAN ANN MEDEARIS
February 17, 1942 - November 9, 2012

Susan Ann Medearis was born in Kewanee, Illinois on February 17, 1942 to Melvin and Violet (Cade) Lampley. She passed away in Salem, Missouri on November 9, 2012 at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 22 days.

Susan was united in marriage to James Medearis on September 28, 1963. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tony Medearis; one daughter, Carol Medearis; three grandchildren, Carrie Jaynes and Charles and Eric Pyatt; two brothers, John and Tom Lampley; one sister, Virginia Lampley; and a sister-in-law, Elsie Miller.

Susan is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jim, of their home in Salem; six children, Corrina Nelson and husband, Terry, of Alexis, Illinois; Crystal Pyatt and husband, Ernie, of Salem; Carmill Jaynes, of Osage City, Kansas; Carla Watson and husband, David, of Salem; Candice Becherer and special friend, Dale Turner, also of Salem; Tim Medearis and special friend, Jamie Jenkins, of Houston; grandchildren, Bambie Dehle, Carly Nelson, Tyler Nelson, Matthew Medearis, Andrew Boren, Steven Boren, Nathaniel Medearis, Isabella Becherer, Mavrick Bore and Elizabeth Becherer; great grandchildren, Blake, Brittany, Hunter, Hannah and William; a sister-in-law, Lois Lampley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Susan enjoyed sewing, collecting recipes and her animals. But what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and friends and they will all deeply miss her.

Funeral service for Suan Ann Medearis was 1:00 p.m. Monday November 12, 2012 at Seventh Day Adventist Church with Jon Gibson officiating. Music was provided by recorded selections along with organist, Patti Brown.

Serving as pallbearers were Dale Turner, David Watson, Nathaniel Medearis, Adam Akins, Steven Boren and Andrew Boren.

Interment was in Empire Cemetery, Gladden, with all arrangements under the direction of Dent County Memorial Chapel.
