Catherine was a lifelong resident of the town of Sumner Wisconsin. she was the daughter of Herman and Amelia nee Andra Bente and married Fred Buth on April 18 1900 on Golden Lake. She was a member of St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Golden Lake and was active in the Ladies Aid Society. She was active in Local affairs and was well know in the community. She was the Corrospondent for the Oconomowoc Enterprise Newspaper for many years.
