Elizabeth M. "Betty" Evans, 90, formerly of Littleton, WV died Monday, December 27, 2004 in the New Martinsville Health Care Center in New Martinsville.

She was born September 3, 1914 at Hundred, WV a daughter of the late Samuel J. Cole and Anna F. Glover Cole.

Mrs. Evans was a homemaker. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church of Burton and formerly attended the Littleton United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons & spouses, Lane & Minerva Evans of Proctor, and Gary & Marlene Evans of New Manchester, WV; one daughter & spouse, Sharla & Jay T. Himmelrick of Hundred; a brother-in-law, Robert Paul Evans of South Charleston, WV; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Jean Kanosky of Mannington; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rexford Claude Evans, who died on February 26, 1985; three sisters, Kathryn Church, Margaret Cole, and Ruth Null; and three brothers, Fred Cole, James Cole, and John "Bud" Cole.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Thursday. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton.
