Cora Grace Storey Persons, 85, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 15, at Salem Cemetery near Freestone. Rev. Richard Gillet will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, prior to the services, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.

Cora Grace was born in New Hope, Texas, to the late David G. Storey and Fannie Shelton Storey. On November 15, 1944, she married William Melvin Persons in Teague. Cora was an exceptionally happy and caring lady, who had a love for life, never met a stranger, and had a smile and a hug for everyone. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt to her large family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Melvin Persons; daughters, Geneva Gayle Persons, and Linda Sherian Persons Burr; and her many brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Nicole Peters and husband, Blair, of McKinney; grandson, Kyle Burr, of Houston; great-grandchildren, Quinn Peters, Reagan Peters, Eliza Peters, Sofia Burr, and Olivia Burr; other relatives and many friends. U12
