Uncle Herb was a quiet man, as I remember. I was told he was colorblind and needed Gladys to inform him of the traffic light changes. He had a ceramic two inch tall smoking squirrel that he would light up for us whenever we came to visit. We all giggled in amazement. My youngest brother, Herbert, was his namesake. It's kind of ironic that when he died he left money to my other brother Russell and not to Herbert.
