Carmel Springer Harris, 85, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Diamond Oaks Worship Center, 5708 Diamond Oaks Drive South, Haltom City. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Carmel was born Dec. 4, 1927, to James and Nora Spray. She earned her Ph.D. from North Texas State College. She was preceded in death by her first husband, L.C. Springer Sr.; daughter, Betty Ruth Brown; four brothers; and three sisters. Survivors: Husband, Roy Harris of Haltom City; daughters, Latha Tiberi of Granbury and Ginger Davis and husband, Arthur, of Duncanville; son, Clyde Springer Jr. and wife, Nell, of Haltom City; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
