Ruth was born to T.J. and Ada Riddle, on January 2, 1919 in Ballinger, Texas. She was a graduate of Winters High School in 1939. She married her first love, Martin Cooke, on June 14, 1939. They recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Ruth was a homemaker and a charter member of Woodlawn Church of Christ.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Martin, one daughter, Pat Rosenbaum and husband, Lloyd of Abilene. One son Michael Cooke and wife, Pat of Abilene, her beloved grandchildren Clint Rosenbaum of Abilene, Curt Rosenbaum of Cooperas Cove, Clay Rosenbaum of Hondo, Jay Cooke of Amarillo, and Kellie Cooke of Little Rock, Arkansas, and ten great grandchildren.
