GOLDTHWAITE — Funeral services for Robert Emerson Davis Jr., 88, of Goldthwaite will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Doug Holtzclaw officiating. Burial will follow in Oakview Cemetery in Mullin. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
He died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Goldthwaite Health and Rehab Center.
He was born March 12, 1925, in Mills County, to Robert Emerson Davis Sr. and Sarah Hensley Davis. He was married to Martha Alberta Downey on March 10, 1946, in Mills County. He was a Linotype Operator at Print and was a member of First Baptist.
MILITARY:Served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Moore and husband James of Caradan; son, Lohn Kent Davis of Goldthwaite; two sisters, Mattielue Jones of Goldthwaite and Ina Zoe Morgan of Sherman; two brothers, Dennis Davis of Houston and Ro Calvin Davis of Richardson; one step-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
