Rock Grove, Ill., Feb. 2. Funeral services for the late George A. Myers will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the home and at 2 o'clock in St. Paul's Lutheran church, Rock Grove, Rev. Fred Hechathorn officiating. Interment will be made in Rock Grove Union cemetery.
Mr. Myers, who passed away early Monday morning at his home here was 81 years old. He had been ill a long while.
He was born in Adams county, Pa. March 28, 1861, the son of Addison and Rosanna (Fickes) Myers and came west with his parents at the age of three years. He had always resided in this community.
He was united in marriage on March 17, 1891 with Lottie M. Kurtz at Monroe, Wis. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary almost two years ago.
Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Clark R., who resides on the homestead; two daughters, Mrs Esther Bennehoff of Rock City and Mrs. Ruby Mackey of Freeport; one sister, Mrs. Cora Spielman of Dixon, Ill.; two step-sisters, Mrs. Ella Ward, Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Mrs. Annie Sensenbach, New Hartford, Iowa, one step-brother, Rev. William Roush of Waterloo, Iowa, and ten grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Anna Kramer, two half sisters and two step-sisters preceded him in death.
