Mr. John Henry Dangerfield, age 80, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Thursday, June 13, 2013, at St. Pauls' AME Church in Fayetteville. Pastor Patricia Staggs will be eulogist, with burial to follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in the Howell Community.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.

He was born September 2, 1932, in Lincoln County, to the late John and Jessie Hill Dangerfield. He was a retired custodian at the Lincoln County Court House and a bus driver for Lincoln County School System.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Dangerfield, and brother, Charles Dangerfield.

Survivors include his wife, Florine Leslie Dangerfield, of Shelbyville; a son, Kenneth Dangerfield, of Antioch; six daughters, Wynedka (Alvin) Palmer, of Spring Hill, Valerie Dangerfield, of Antioch, Vanessa Dangerfield, Montie Dangerfield, and Jana Dangerfield, all of Fayetteville, and Kim (Dee) Quarles, of Cordova, Tennessee; a sister, Hildred Jones, of Fayetteville, and two brothers, William (Emma) Dangerfield, and Bobby (Ann) Dangerfield, of Nashville; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Feldhaus Memorial Chapel assistedg the family with the arrangements.
