Meda Call, age 98, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013, in Mercy Hospital, Cassville.

She was born November 1, 1914, in Odell, Arkansas, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Baird) Wilhite. She was united in marriage to J.W. "Bill" Call on February 7, 1934. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by one daughter, Alberta Nance and her husband, Lowell of Cassville; one brother, Leon Wilhite and his wife, Barbara of Sorento, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Minnie Wilhite of McMinnville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

Meda grew up in Missouri and received her education at McDowell, along with Emory Melton. She was a loving wife and mother, who enjoyed caring for her family. She worked as a supervisor in the garment factory for several years. She was a beautiful seamstress and spent many happy hours in her sewing room. She had yards and yards of fabric, but always loved to shop for more. With this fabric she made lots of beautiful quilt tops which she shared with all her family and friends. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Reverend Paul Yarnall conducted the services. Burial in Clio Cemetery, Jenkins, Missouri.
