A US Marine Corp Veteran Charlie served in the Marines for six years, where he received two good conduct awards, he worked at Peerless Pottery for 40 years. Charlie's proudest moment was when he married his wife, Carolyn Shoptaugh Williams in 1967. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his six children and 15 grandchildren. He was a quiet man with a big heart and he enjoyed watching NASCAR with his boys.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn M. Martin, in June 2006; brothers, Terry Martin and Don Caroll ; and parents Urban W & Flora Mae (Watson) Martin.
