Farmville-Last rites were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Nannie May Tugwell Alford, 32, wife of Hyman Alford of Brattleboro, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Tugwell, near Farmville. Services were conducted by Dr. J.W. Kincheloe, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Johnson, Fountain and burial was in the Fountain Cemetery.
The death of Mrs. Alford occurred in Park View Hospital, Rocky Mount, on Tuesday, following the birth of an infant which was buried with her.
Surviving are her husband, parents, Arthur Tugwell of Greensboro, Bennie Tugwell of Walstonburg, Linwood and Wilson Tugwell of Farmville.
