Wilma Inez Collins King, 74, died Thursday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was the widow of Harvey Clyde King, who preceded her in death on Jan 24, 1979. Mrs. King retired from Housekeeping with Bolivar General Hospital in 1997.

She was born Feb 12, 1933, to Wilma Aline Tims Collins of Bolivar and the late Frank Jefferson Collins and had lived all of her life here. She enjoyed working in her flowers, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. King was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include five daughters; Aline (Jesse) Sanders of Henderson, Joan (Dennis) McMahan of Hornsby, Patsy (Glenn) McAlpin of Middleton, Janice White of Jackson and Mary Sue (Terry Lynn) Hodge of Middleton.

She is also survived by five sons, Roger Dale (Nedda Jo) King, Gary Wayne (Debbie) King and Carl (Deborah) King all of Toone; Richard (Debra) King of Medon and Gregory Shawn (Christy) King of Toone; her mother, Wilma Tims Collins of Bolivar; seven sisters, Frances Elizabeth Dulin of Mercer, Linnie Estelle Pirtle of Malesus, Mildred Dean King of Bolivar, Suzie Ann Odom, Betty Jane Fitzwater, Julie Darlene Martin and Margaret Katherine Flake all of Arkansas; three brothers, Frank Jefferson Collins Jr of Arkansas, Donald Ray Collins of Medon and Harry Wiley Collins of Selmer; 28 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Docia Rebecca Collins and a son-in-law, Tommy White.

Shackleford Funeral Home is in charge of services. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery near Toone, TN.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in her honor.
