Miss Rebecca L. Herd, 65,of Booneville, Owsley county, died at 8 o'clock last night at Good Samaritan hospital where she had been a patient for seven days.
She was a native of Owsley county and was a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Mary Elizabeth Searcy Herd.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. A.M. Glass, Booneville, and Mrs. Cynthia Kingsland, Buffalo, N.Y., and three brothers, Charles E. Herd, Middlesboro; Lucian G. Herd, Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Anderson T. Herd, New York City.
The body was removed to Kerr Brothers funeral home and will be taken this morning to Beattyville for funeral services and burial.
