Justine was born in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of Jim and Susan Baez. She attended Kent Meridian High School, Green River Community College, University of Phoenix and Highline Community College, where she was due to graduate with an Associates in Business Degree. She was set to attend the U. of W. Tacoma this fall, having been accepted into the Milgard School of Business. Her dream was to go into the Peace Corps, after obtaining her Bachelor's Degree, and then start a youth dance studio upon her return to the states. At the time of her death, she was a Customer Service Representative at FedEx Office in Tukwila, WA. She had been employed at McDonalds, from 2005 until 2012, leaving a managerial position to work for FedEx. Justine loved life, was a complete and utter joy to be around, and made the lives of those she touched better just by knowing her. She had a ready smile and was full of energy. She loved the Lord Jesus, and wanted to make a difference in the world. She tragically left this world too soon to be with the Lord when she was shot and killed in her home by her long-time boyfriend, Dennis Clark III, who then went on a shooting rampage and killed three other men before being shot by police. Justine is survived by her mother, Susan (Thom) Meyer; her father, Jim Baez; a brother, Spenser Baez; a stepsister, Elizabeth Meyer; nephew, Lucas Pitts; grandparents, Myrna and Alan Berni; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Nell Peters, Claire Stille, Charles Meyer, and Art Baez; uncle and aunt, Jim and Ruphane Leider; and uncle, Bill Meyer. A memorial service/celebration of her life was held at Covington Community Church of the Brethren. She is forever loved and missed.
