I have fond memories of my Aunt Mae. She was a very loving and kind person. She loved her Bible and loved to crochet. She and her sister-in-law Ruth Vaughn Gardner, often made quilts for the county fair. She lived with her brother Parks and his wife for most of her life. When they passed away she was very lonely. She was born to Robert Clifton Gardner and Mary Lou Morris. She had 4 siblings. She never had any children as she divorced early in life and did not remarry, but very active with her nieces and nephews.
