Louis, of Coplay, passed away at the age of 81, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.

Son of the late Frank and Cecelia (Kroboth) Bodish.

He was married to the late Agnes S. (Hacker) Bodish.

He was an army veteran of World War II and the Korean War culminating in 42 years of active and reserve military service with the rank of first sergeant.

He was a purchasing agent for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp., Bethlehem for 37 years retiring in 1975.

Member of:
St. Peters Catholic Church, Coplay. American Legion Post #426, Coplay. Allentown Chapter of the Honorary First Defenders. Charter member and Past-President of the Coplay A.C.. Past-Treasurer of the Coplay-Whitehall Sewer Authority for 15 years. American Club of Coplay and the Coplay Saengerbund.

For 24 years, he was a Coplay Borough Councilman serving a tenure as its President.

Inducted into the Lehigh Valley Boxer Association Hall of Fame, he was 8th ranked lightweight champion of the world. In 97 boots, his record reflected 88 wins, six loses, three draws.
