Elijah (Bud) Rutledge, age 84, a resident of Westville Nursing Home, died Dec. 21 at the nursing home. Born July 26, 1895 in Indian Territory, he had been a farmer. He was the son of William and Mary Alice Lane Rutledge.
Survivors include his widow, Eveline of Westville, four daughters, Alma Dickey, Holtville, CA, Essie Jackson of Bunch, Dixie Harlin, Westville and Nellie Rutledge, Stilwell; five sons, William of Stilwell, Buddy of El Paso, TX, Frank of Mineral Wells, TX, Troy and Roy of Stilwell Nursing Home; two sisters, Easter Strickland, Errick and Ora Hammans of 'Why, AZ. Also 31 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
