Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Rebecca Johnson Jenkins will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Oakdale Church of Christ with Brother Danny Broussard officiating. Interment will follow in Vandenburg Cemetery, Bayou Chicot under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Jenkins, 94, of Bayou Chicot, entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Mercy Regional Medical Center, Ville Platte.
Janie was owner and operator of Janie's Beauty Shop in Bayou Chicot for many years. She was a member of the Oakdale Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Murray Causey and Elrie Jenkins; one son, J. C. Guillory, Jr.; her parents, Noah, Sr. and Orelia Johnson; five brothers, Noah Johnson, Jr., Douglas "Doug" Johnson, M. B. "Matt" Johnson, L. E. "Doc" Johnson and H. J. "Jimmy' Johnson; two sisters, Virginia Johnson and Eva Johnson Babb; one great grandson, Tyler Guillory; one great-great granddaughter, Jaycee Guillory; two step-sons, Hershel Causey and Darrell Sadler and two step-daughters, Ruth Causey Whittington and Sharon Sadler Sayer.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one daughter, Jane Carrol Guillory Smith and her husband, Robert of St. Landry; one daughter-in-law, Dixie Jenkins Guillory of Bayou Chicot; one brother, H. E. "Ed" Johnson of Glenmora; two sisters, Mamie Johnson Grantham of Glenmora and Alice "Nae" Johnson Mays of Port Neches, Texas; seven grandchildren, Shane Guillory, Rhonda Guillory Welch, Angie Guillory Broussard , Dawn Guillory Morgan, Randy Smith, Danette Smith Cormier and Janet Smith Weatherford; two step-sons, Roger Sadler of Livonia and Rodney Jenkins of Bayou Chicot; one step-daughter, Joy Carter of Hackberry and a host of step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
