Maxine Miller Turner, 77 of Dayton died Monday, June 6, in a local hospital.
She was a member of Bogles Chapel Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and youth leader. She came from a loving, musical family and played in the church and at pie suppers during her youth. She loved flowers and especially her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Turner in 1976, brother Jack, Ed, Carl (Fat), Walter (Dudge) Miller and sisters, Margie Miller Walker, Ethel (Penney) Miller Blakely. Survivors include daughters Vickie L. (Randy) Crowe of Evensville; son Jimmy R. Turner of Dayton; two grandsons Tim and Justin Crowe; special life long friend, George Mize, sisters-in-law "Sis" Miller, Hanner Miller; loving family of nieces and nephews and cousins, sister-in-law Joyce Smith of Chattanooga; and special "Sis" Maxine Horne.

Services were held Thursday, June 9, at Bogles Chapel Baptist Church with Reverends Clyde Fitzgerald and Aaron Revis officiating. Burial followed in Smith-Wilkey Cemetery.

Coulter Garrison Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
