Herbert L. Gilman, age 84, died Friday, June 29, 2007 at his daughter’s residence in Willoughby Hills, Ohio with his children at his side. Born November 19, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Paul and Ida Goldman. He graduated from Waukesha High School in Waukesha, Wis. and attended the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Gilman served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a Lincoln Mercury dealer and following that was general sales manager at Dahl Motors. He was a 32nd Degree Mason of Crawford Lodge No. of Crawford Lodge No. 234 F.&A.M. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Rita Gilman and his second wife Alberta Nelson Gilman in 2006. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Ochin, Cathy Chester and her husband Mike, and Bob Gilman and his wife Joyce; three grandchildren, Courtney and Clayton Miller and Cory Gilman, and one great grandchild, Ashton.
