Lillian L. “Mayberry” Vieth, age 101, of Paducah passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Superior Care Home.

Mrs. Vieth was born in Essex, Missouri on February 5, 1919 to the late Joseph and Matilda Mayberry. She was married for 79 years to the late Floyd E. Vieth.

Lillian was a co-owner and operator of Vieth General Merchandise. She was a devoted member of Olivet Baptist Church and she loved to sew, cook and piece quilt tops.

Lillian is survived by one son, Rev. Floyd E. Vieth, Jr. and wife, Pat, of Ossian, Indiana; one daughter, Betty Joe Davis of Burton, Michigan; one sister, Joyce Fritts (George) of Eureka, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Rita Sue Pugh, Richard Montgomery, Andy Montgomery, Amy Mitchell, Sharon Kay Stanton, Rev. Charles Wayne Davis, Rev. Michael Allen Davis, Douglas E. Vieth, Toiyonna S. Arias, and Terrill E. Vieth; twenty five great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one daughter, Lola Faye Montgomery; two sisters, Doris Barber and Freda Allen; and six brothers, Raymond Mayberry, Carl Mayberry, Clarence Mayberry, Eugene Mayberry, Walter Mayberry, and Marvin Mayberry.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Ray G. Barber and Rev. Charles W. Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until the 1:30 pm service time on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
