Born Oct. 7, 1874, in Warren Twp. she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Sarah L. Cecil Sprague.

On Dec. 24, 1890, she was married to James H. Harris. He died Aug. 18, 1933.

Surviving are two sons, John and Charles W. Harris, both of Marietta, and two daughters, Mrs. Henry Bohl of Warren and Mrs. Evelyn Ritchie of the family home. Other survivors include 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were two sons, James and Benjamin, and one daughter, Elizabeth Louise.

Mrs. Harris, who was the last surviving member of her family, was a lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and the WSCS of the church.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Harold Hadley Funeral home with the Rev. Gerald Erter, pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Harmar Cemetery.

Pam's note: Although the obituary and death certificate state her birth date as Oct 7, 1874, I have recorded her birth as Aug 1, 1875 because that's the date on her birth certificate. Also, this obit and the last census record shows James' middle initial was an H. I've recorded it as J because that's what is used on everything else.
