Born in Hagerstown, he was the son of George C and Mary I Miller LeFever.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren. He had been employed as an engineer with the Penn Central Railroad for 45 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotives, Engineers and Firemen.
He was the last surviving member of his generation.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Gladys Leatherman and Mrs Kathryn Thompson, both of Hagerstown; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Coffman Funeral Home Monday at 11 am, the Rev Newton L Poling officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
