Ann McNair was the daughter of William McNair and Ann Wilkinson.

She married Charles J. Waddell, son of Absolom Waddell and Susanna Shepherd, on November 10, 1831, in Knox County, Ohio. Charles was born October 4, 1812, and died October 30, 1841, both in Knox County. Ann and Charles were married until his death. The couple had at least four children together, namely:

Sarah Matilda (Waddell) Watts (1832-1918);
Christopher Waddell (1836-1910);
Matilda Waddell (1838- ); and
William H. H. Waddell (1841- ).

Sarah and Charles' daughter, Matilda Waddell (1838-unknown), was named after Charles' sister, Matilda L. (Waddell) Beauchamp (1838-1875), who was born at about the same time in the same county as their daughter and was later married to William Beauchamp. In family histories, the two women are sometimes confused.

The widow Ann Waddell married the widower Adam Losh, son of Adam Losh and Catherine Fridley, on April 3, 1842, in Knox County, Ohio; they were married until Ann's death. Ann and Adam had at least six children together, namely:

Cynthia A. (Losh) Skelton (1842-1925);
Maria Losh (1845- );
Angeline Emma (Losh) [Dowling] Marks (1849-1932);
Robert Melton Losh (1851-1931);
Catherine ("Kitty") Losh (1854- ); and
Nancy A. Losh (1858- ).

Between 1850 and 1860, the Losh family relocated to Iowa.

Although a beautiful monument was created for Ann, no memorial was created for her widowed husband, Adam Losh, who died in 1898 and is also buried in Oak Grove Cemetery.
