Mrs. Catherine LaMonte of West Sparta died Friday (Dec. 28, 1973) in Noyes Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was 63.
Surviving are four daughters, the Misses Lucille and Joyce LaMonte, Mrs. Sandra Gilman and Mrs. Sharon Cobb all of Dansville; her mother, Mrs. Mae Wallace of Dansville; a brother, Wilson Wallace of Nunda; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Monday afternoon in the Chamberlin Funeral Home, Dansville. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery, West Sparta. (GCE, January 3, 1974, p3)
